After morning PT, pool therapy, and afternoon PT, we finally got on the road to head to Denver. It is about an hour and a half to two hour drive, but we did make a pit stop in Silverthorne to go get lunch and to pick up some last minute things from the Nike Outlet. We have become a little obsessed with the outlet stores in Silverthorne, especially the Nike one because they have some amazing stuff. And since we have all had surgery, we have pretty much started living in Nike clothes, since it is the most comfortable.
Shae struggled a little during the car drive because of stiffness. It's hard when you've had hip surgery to sit for long periods of times, to stand for long, or to walk for long. The best way to handle this was to give support to her hip with the use of pillows.
The drive to Denver is a beautiful drive. It definitely makes the time go by and the mountains are absolutely amazing.
