Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills!

Throughout recovering from FAI surgery, you are surrounded with good and bad days. The bad days are not only during your first couple of weeks after surgery, but they can last for a couple of months afterwards as well. I am a year out on my right hip and 10 months out on my other, and I too still have good and bad days. Hip surgery is not a minor surgery. It is a big deal and your body takes time to recovery and to get back to its normal self. You will definitely get there, but it does take some time and patience.

Although she wasn't actually grumpy today, she was just not as happy this afternoon as what she has been. Shae said that today was one of the first days that she was batteling the most with nausea. When you are at this high of an altitude, the combination of the medications, high altitude, and dehydration in addition to your sometimes lack of eating, can all definitely cause some extreme nausea. But we went to afternoon PT, and everyone at Howard Head, helped cheer Shae up.

Here's a picture of Laura with Talya and Shae. Laura, is one of the coolest therapists. She is part of the knee and shoulder rehab team, and she without a doubt, oozes a #1 cool factor. She is full of life, she always asks you how you are doing, and she permanately has a smile on her face. She lights up the room whenever she walks into it.

And then of course, here is Paul, the ICEMAN. Paul is also one of a kind, and an amazing help with everything. He gets the best part of a physical therapy session. He actually makes you feel better, and doesn't inflict pain. And no matter what, Paul is always there for you whenever you need him.
