Fondue Anyone??

There are two really great things about having surgery in Vail. One is that you meet amazing people, and they become life long friends. And two, you get to go to amazing restaurants that are one of a kind. And last night, we went to the Swiss Chalet and had fondue.

We went for dinner with friends of ours that we met last summer when we were here in Vail for both of my hip surgeries. Leigh is from Chicago and she had her first hip surgery when she was 13. She is in town for post-op appointments and for rehab, and last night we went for dinner with her and her mom and a friend of hers from Chicago.

The Hip Gang:

We also went to dinner with a very good friend of mine, Karlie. Karlie lives in Vail and has also had both of her hips done with Philippon. The two of us have become incredibly good friends, and keep in contact and talk as if we have known each other for years. There is nothing better then having a true good friend. Having surgery is obviously not a good thing, but things always happen for a reason, and if I had never had surgery, then I would have never met Karlie.
